Once the energy inspection had been performed, a report will be issued based on the specific needs of your home to make it more energy efficient, including analyzing all of the major systems in the home, such as the heating and cooling systems and also the major appliances (refrigerator, washer/dryer) as well.

 

The report will make recommendations on which appliances should be upgraded, whether or not you should upgrade your windows and whatever else can be done to reduce your home’s energy costs. Every energy efficiency opportunity is explained and listed in a table that is prioritized in terms of what’s cost effective and what isn’t. The projected savings from installing the measures is also detailed. That way, you’ll know what to install and how soon it will pay for itself.

 

Basically, it’s a roadmap for you to start saving money on your energy bills for the entire time you live in the home and with energy prices continuing to increase every year, it will increase your home’s resale value as well when you sell it!
